Those numbers are meaningful and will make sense.
25:
2025 Was a year that was guided by the Holy Spirit and therefore very productive. I believe it was my most productive and fulfilling year to date. I will highlight some of the amazing things that took place.
I was invited to teach and speak to more groups and churches than in any other year.
One of the groups that I did training for was the Victim Advocate Partners of Fulton County task force. After my presentation and interaction with the personnel I was invited to join as a participating and contributing member.
In the spring I again participated in the Kane County Anti-Trafficking Summit in suburban Chicago.
As a result of that event I was able to go back in July and participate in the first ever Street Outreach in the Elgin, IL area. That was a 100% Holy Spirit experience, wow.
Throughout 2025 I felt that I was being lead to people that needed to be heard and loved and that makes for a great year.
75:
In March of 2026 I will have ridden this rock 75 times around the sun. To commemorate this fact I plan to walk the Camino Portages beginning on March 23, my birthday, then upon arrival in Santiago to volunteer at the Pilgrim House.
Val will travel with me to Porto spend a week on holiday and when I start walking north to Spain she will head to Madrid then home.
After all that I am going to Rome for a week or so to reconnect with friends there. I have remained in contact with many of the people I interacted with while serving in Rome and I want them to know they are still an important part of my life.
50:
It was on Friday, February the 13th in 1976 that I met Val, fifty years ago. We celebrated that earlier on Friday the 13th this year surrounded by the family that grew out of that luckiest of nights. In October we will celebrate 50 years of marriage. It’s been an amazing ride. Thanks Val.
2026;
I continue to be guided by the same commitment that I made in 2010 and that is to be “a willing and available servant to my Lord and Savior “.
My commitment to rescuing victims of human trafficking remains the same. My commitment to doing street outreach to those being trafficked remains unchanged. And my willingness to do whatever the Holy Spirit leads me to, will continue to be my priority.
As always I am grateful for your love and support. Without YOU walking alongside of me this journey would not be the same. I thank each and every one of You from the bottom of my heart.
Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
Your Friend in Christ, Mark
